What is a ManchesTOUR?

A fun and insightful introduction to Manchester! Join us on an adventure exploring the city's iconic landmarks and hidden gems while we bring Manchester's story to life. A favourite among both locals and first-time visitors!

Is the tour accessible?

The tour is wheelchair accessible.

If you have any other accessibility needs please contact us beforehand, and we will make sure you are fully accommodated.

Anyone of any age is welcome.

Why should I book a ManchesTOUR?

Unlike some other tours, we ask you to pay for your ticket in advance because we are confident that you will love your experience.

The route and stories have been researched and planned by Rob - a published local historian - who was born and raised in Manchester.

Do I need to book?

Yes, please!

In order to maintain quality, places on each tour are limited.

Follow links to our Eventbrite page to book for the date and time you would like to attend.

When can I do a ManchesTOUR?

Tours run on most Saturdays at 10am and 2pm.

Follow links to our Eventbrite page to find a date and time to suit you.

If you want to book a customised tour, please contact us to arrange a date and time.

Where will the tour start and end?

Tours start outside the Science and Industry Museum (Liverpool Rd, Manchester M3 4JP) - you'll find your guide under the large red sign. Look for a yellow t-shirt/jacket/umbrella with our bee logo on it.

Tours will end around the Shambles/Exchange Square in the centre of Manchester.

If you need directions to anywhere at the end of your tour, just ask your guide.

What if it's raining?

This is Manchester - it rains quite a bit! The tour will still go ahead. Come prepared with a coat/umbrella and shoes with good grip.

In extreme weather, the tour may be cancelled/postponed. You will be notified by email if this is the case and offered a refund/exchange.

Can I book a private tour?

Absolutely!

We can run tours for schools, businesses, stag/hen parties, charities and social groups. If you’re interested in a private tour, please email rob@manchestour.uk, or use the contact form on the website, with your group size, date and time, as well as any particular interests you have.
